Purpose
Dance Studio Jazz D'Nova offers classes for dancers at all levels. Be it with the prospect of starting a professional dance career or just for relaxation and exercise purposes.
All dancers receive personal guidance. We think it's very important that everyone learns at their own level.
Particular attention is paid to a maximum number of participants per class.
Artistic director
Chantal Bekaert followed her basic dance education at the Higher Institute for Dance in Lier and followed classical ballet classes at the Conservatory in Leuven.
In September 2004 she founded dance studio Jazz D'Nova in Kampenhout.
In 2012 the dance studio was expanded with a second location in Kortenberg. And in September 2015, Chantal founded her
own yoga studio, namely - The Yoga Retreat - in Sterrebeek.
She followed various dance courses and workshops given by internationally known dancers in Belgium and abroad (Jorge Vasquez U.S.A., Charles Malik Lewis U.S.A., Steven Iannacone U.S.A., Ray Tadio U.S.A., Amy Pedevilla U.S.A., Elizabeth Corbett U.S.A., Jac Delsing BE, Ghislain Tshilomba FR, Wim Vandekeybus BE, Elsie Matthijssens BE, Anthony 'Prem', Carlisi U.S.A., Heather Duplex U.S.A., Irini Res NY, ...) She also obtained the Bloso diploma Aerobic-instructor with option Funk and the recognized AALO diploma Streetdance.
Chantal Bekaert has more than 20 years of experience as a dance teacher.
She continuously follows different workshops in Belgium and abroad during the year.
In June 2011 Chantal travelled to New York to follow yoga and dance classes in the Alvin Alley dance studios.
After her yoga experience in Thailand (2014), she further enhanced her yoga disciplines in 3 different locations in Bali (2017)
The Jazz D'Nova Teachers’ Team has had a personal training from Chantal Bekaert and they also gain further knowledge by means of various courses and personal guidance.
Chantal also choreographs the dance routines for various performances at different locations. And works as a choreographer for school events, teambuilding events, dance routines for the bride and groom at their wedding party ...
She also teaches weekly private sessions and yoga sessions in different companies.
Chantal has a bachelor degree in Communication Sciences.

Clothing requirements
At the time of enrollment we will give you guidance as to which clothes you should wear for the various classes.
From the age of 6 years onwards the dancers are requested to wear the Jazz D'Nova T-shirts. (To be bought at the dance studio when dance year starts)
